Seasonal Position June 15-September 10th (we might open earlier if we have staff)
Pay: $15.50 hr plus tips (Which historically average $10+ hr.)
Join the crew at the Tahoe City Ice Cream Trailer. The Trailer is parked at the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City all summer. Be one of the faces of Little Truckee Ice Creamery. If you enjoy working with others and entertaining happy customers, this job is for you. We are looking for upbeat, social, customer oriented and energetic servers. This is a high paced job scooping ice cream and keeping a clean and organized operation.
Requirements
- We are looking for Seasonal staff willing to work at least 3-5 days a week. It is helpful to have staff able to hold a consistent schedule from week to week without too many trips out of town that requires us to bring in cover. It is also nice to have flexibility to work any day of the week including Weekends and Holidays although we can possibly work around your schedule to make the position work for both you and the company. (Memorial day weekend, 4th of July and Labor Day Weekend are very important) (Any vacations must be approved 2+ weeks in advance)
- Must have or obtain a food handlers card (very easy to get online).
- Able to stand for 5 hours and be able to scoop ice cream (we train the proper way to scoop). We offer regular breaks.
- Be able to work alone or with others. (some shifts or partial shifts may require working alone) We have up to 3 severs in the Trailer working as a team on busy days and times.
- Be punctual and show up to work.
- 16 years plus for regular shifts (We do hire 15 year olds for some shifts so feel free to apply).
- Detail oriented and problem solving skills
- Speak fluent English and have basic math skills for handling money.

- Scooping Ice Cream
- Stocking Ice Cream and Service Materials
- Cleaning: Trailer, outdoor seating area and empty Ice Cream Tubs.
- Keeping Trailer Organized
- Closing Procedures
- Taking out Trash
- Following Detailed operating procedures
Shifts
- Summer Trailer Hours are 12:30 – 9:00PM
- Standard Shift hours are 11:45 am-5:15pm or 5:00-9:30pm. There is also a 2-9:30 shift or a 11:45-9:30 up to 4 x per week . (Note, the end of shift is approximate as some evenings the shift can go later based on time to get through closing procedures). 30 minute unpaid break required for shifts over 6 hours.
